This letter from the ColneCAN partnership written in July 2021 expresses concern about multiple pollution incidents and their lack of investigation.

Background:

The meetings of the Colne Catchment Steering Group Meetings in the past two years have been dominated by increasing concerns about multiple pollution incidents in all our local rivers and their lack of investigation by the Environment Agency. When this issue was raised again at the Summer Steering Group Meeting, it was unanimously agreed to write to the Secretary of State for the Environment. The letter below was sent to George Eustice MP on 15th July and copied to Rebecca Pow.
