Project description

Local volunteers enhanced a section of the R. Gade in Hemel Hempstead in May 2014, improving habitat for fish and wildlife.

 As part of series of events organised by the Environment Agency two habitat enhancement training days led by the Wild Trout Trust, were held on the Gade near to Gadebrige Park in Hemel Hempstead in 2013 and 2014. The purpose of the days were to train local volunteers and landowners in low cost techniques to enhance instream habitat using locally source large woody debris. During the course of the two days 150m of river channel was enhanced.
