Join Groundwork South for a fun-filled day removing the pesky Floating Pennywort at Kings Langley!

Time:10:30am – 2:30pm

Location: Meet at the Kings Langley Angling Society at Railway Terrace Kings Langley Hertfordshire.

Floating Pennywort is an invasive aquatic plant that poses a threat to our local ecosystem. By participating in this event, you’ll contribute to the preservation of our beautiful waterways and help restore this important nature reserve.

No prior experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm and some wellies! We’ll provide all the necessary tools and guidance to help you remove the Floating Pennywort effectively.

Make sure to wear comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for outdoor activities. Feel free to bring along friends and family to join in the effort. See full event details below.

Wellies; Any personal medical items; A spare pair of clothes; Warm clothing; Water and Snacks.

Event Schedule

10:30 – 11:00 Arrival and introduction

11:00 – 12:30 Pennywort removal

12:30 – 13:15 Break for lunch

13:15 – 14:30 Pennywort removal

What to be aware of

Free parking and facilities are available on site

Lunch will be provided free of charge

There is the potential this event may be cancelled in extreme weather conditions
